The Information Security and Personal Data Protection Awareness Week will be back from 28 to 30 Apr 2026! This year’s theme, "Spot the Fake, Make No Mistake!", highlights the importance of identifying fake and misleading information in today’s digital world. This event is an excellent opportunity for all of us to deepen our understanding of information security and the importance of protecting personal data, especially as AI-generated content becomes more prevalent. Join us for interactive and engaging activities designed to deepen your understanding and awareness.

 

  1. Workshops: This year, we are pleased to welcome a representative from the Anti-Deception Coordination Centre (ADCC) of the Hong Kong Police Force, who will share valuable fraud prevention skills with colleagues and students. Following this, the popular workshop on Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance by the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, Hong Kong (PCPD) will be conducted, along with a session on cybersecurity and phishing awareness led by an industry expert.
