Themed "Click with Care, Stay Aware!", the Information Security and Personal Data Protection Awareness Week 2025 concluded on 15 May 2025. This event provided excellent opportunities for colleagues and students to deepen their understanding of information security and the importance of protecting personal data in the increasingly digital world through interactive and engaging activities. 

 

  1. Workshops: Two workshops led by industry experts were conducted. The workshop by the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, Hong Kong (PCPD) covered the six data protection principles, data security management and data breach handling with real case sharing, and direct marketing. The Cybersecurity and Phishing Awareness Workshop focused on cybersecurity trends and safe practices, phishing awareness and emerging threats, phishing identification and techniques, as well as mitigation strategies.   1. Exhibition Panels: The informative exhibition panels showcased the basics of information security and data protection, the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance at a glance, the latest trends of cybersecurity threats, useful tips and more. They offered valuable insights into how we can better safeguard our personal and institutional data.

  1. Game: The metaverse game was designed to test participants' understanding of information security and data protection at the University, as well as cybersecurity threats.
