FAQ: I have switched the user interface in Windows XP to Traditional Chinese, but MS Word still shows interface in English. Why?

Besides Windows XP MUI, there is a MUI for MS Office XP too. Windows MUI and Office MUI can be set in different languages. You can setup the Office MUI to match the system language.

Procedures:

  • Click Start -> Programs -> Microsoft Office Tools -> Microsoft Office XP Language Settings
  • Change to the User Interface tab
  • Choose same as the system for the option Display menus and dialog boxes in:
  • Choose same as Menus and Dialogs for the option Display Help in:
  • Click all OK to apply the changes.
