FAQ: I have copied a Hover button from a webpage to another one using MS FrontPage 2000. However it was found that we were prompted for username and password, and it was not shown properly when viewing this new page using web browser. Why?

Some special web components created by FrontPage 2000 will not work properly by just copy and paste. Hence you are recommended not to use copy and paste method for these components, such as:

  • Office Spreadsheet

  • Office PivotTable

  • Office Chart

  • Hover Button

  • Banner Ad Manager

A get around to this is to insert the required component in the new page directly.
