User may encounter problem like Page not found when open file with Chinese character file name from a web link using Internet Explorer in Windows XP where it works on Windows 98.This due to Internet Explorer enable the UTF-8 encoding by default. To solve the problems, user need to disable this feature.
Procedures:
- Open Internet Explorer
- From the menu bar click Tools -> Internet Options...
- Change to the Advanced tab
- Uncheck the option Always send URLs as UTF-8(requires restart)
- Click OK
- Restart Internet Explorer
