Please be advised that the problem logging in The Portal with Chrome is fixed. It was the security enforcement of the new version of Chrome that caused a software compatibility issue with The Portal. The compatibility issue was addressed accordingly and users do not need to take any actions in this regard.



Solution proposed before the fix:
Some users may have encountered a problem logging in The Portal with Chrome that keeps showing the login page (as below). The problem is most likely caused by the corruption of a file in the Chrome folder.

Please follow the steps below to fix the issue.

For Windows:

  1. Close all Chrome windows.
  2. Open File Explorer and go to the path "C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\".
  3. Locate the file "Local State" and then rename it to "Local State.bak".

  4. Launch Chrome again.

 

For macOS:

  1. Close all Chrome windows, or press "Command+Q" on a active Chrome window.
  2. From the Finder menu bar, click "Go > Go to Folder", or press "Command+Shift+G".
  3. Type in "~/Library/Application Support/Google/Chrome/".
  4. Locate the file "Local State" and then rename it to "Local State.bak".

  5. Launch Chrome again.
