Dr Anna Kam receives grant from Health Bureau

Dr KAM, Chi Shan Anna | Associate Professor, Department of Special Education and Counselling

Dr Anna Kam Chi-shan, Associate Professor at the Department of Special Education and Counselling, The Education University of Hong Kong, has been awarded a grant about HK$500,000 from the Health and Medical Research Fund of the Health Bureau. It will fund her research on cognitive impairment in the elderly.

Dr Kam’s research will examine the psychometric properties of the Cantonese Digit-in-noise test in detecting individuals with mild cognitive impairment. Should the clinical data match expectations on completion of this project, a reliable and valid screening tool for mild cognitive impairment in the community-dwelling older adults will be made available.
