About GH

Grantham Hall, formerly known as “Hostel B”, was re-named to commemorate the former educational institution, the Grantham College of Education which was established in 1951.

The Naming Ceremony was held on 30 October 2004, during the 10th Anniversary Celebration of The Hong Kong Institute of Education (HKIEd) (renamed to The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) on 27 May 2016). We were honoured to have Mr Szeto Wah, Chairman of the Grantham College of Education Past Students’ Association, Prof. Bernard Luk, Vice President (Academic) of the HKIEd, Dr. So Kwok Sang (Warden), colleagues from the education  sector and our hall residents witnessed this memorable event.Grantham Hall aims to provide a living and learning environment which is conducive to the residents’ personal character formation, friendship cultivation, professional advancement, and leadership development. Through immersing themselves in numerous exciting and joyful hall activities, our student residents are expected to nurture friendship and experience unforgettable memories of their university lives.?

Grantham Hall is a place full of team-spirit and fun. Our student residents are the most crucial members in the Hall. Our Warden is supported by a Senior Tutor, the Hall Tutorial Team, and the Student Residents’ Association for promoting hall life education to all residents. The Hall Management Office is responsible for facilities management and daily operations. We all work together with high morale to provide an enjoyable and learning environment for our student residents.
