In his speech, Professor John Lee Chi-Kin, President of EdUHK, said “'Love, Care, and Growth' is not only an important element in all civilized societies, but also a traditional virtue of Chinese culture. It is an integral part of life education and a core element of school education. The aim of this competition is to promote a culture of 'Love and Care' between families and schools, inspire students' understanding of the moral values of traditional Chinese culture, and foster personal, community, and societal growth.”

Professor John Erni, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, said “Through the competition, students showed their unique understanding and profound insights into "Love, Care, and Growth" using digital imagery, demonstrating their creativity and talent, and highlighting their contemplation and pursuit of the positive values of life and humanistic care.”

This was the fourth edition of the Greater Bay Area Life Education Creative Competition since 2019. This year, more than 181 schools and over 5,000 teachers and students from the Greater Bay Area participated, submitting a total of 748 entries.

To promote the digital humanities in the educational system of the Greater Bay Area, the competition focused on creative arts and STEAM education, while also integrating elements of the humanities and natural sciences. It strived to inspire students to understand the essence of humanistic care, recognise traditional Chinese values and culture, and narrate compelling life education stories in the Greater Bay Area with a positive life philosophy.
