National Flag Raising Ceremony

In celebration of the 73rd anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) held this morning (1 October) the National Flag Raising Ceremony on its Tai Po campus.

The ceremony was attended by over 120 participants, including Deputy Council Chairman Dr Terence Chan Ho-wah, Council Members and the senior management, staff and students, together with a flag raising team made up of EdUHK students.

Dr Chan said, “With great honour, this was the first time I joined the University’s flag raising ceremony along with faculty and students. Held on the National Day, the ceremony is especially meaningful and joyful.”

EdUHK conducts flag raising ceremonies each Monday and on important dates (including the New Year’s Day, HKSAR Establishment Day and the National Day), in addition to hoisting the national, regional and university flags on each school day.
