EdUHK Confers Honorary Fellowships on Two Distinguished Individuals

The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) has named two distinguished individuals as Honorary Fellows in recognition of their remarkable contributions to the University, the education sector and the wider community. They are (in alphabetical order of surname):
 

Ms Ada Ho How-sim 
Ms Shirley Loo, BBS, MH, JP

 

EdUHK Council Chairman Professor Frederick Ma Si-hang presided over the Honorary Fellowship Presentation Ceremony 2020, which was held on the Tai Po campus today (22 October).

 

EdUHK President Professor Stephen Cheung Yan-leung paid tribute to the Honorary Fellowship recipients on the occasion. He said, “The two honorary fellows have great passion for special education and family education respectively. Their accomplishments and contributions are outstanding and they are role models for future generations.

 

Ms Ho has worked tirelessly in the field of special education for more than three decades, sparing no effort to realise students’ potential. Ms Loo has proactively promoted the importance of family harmony, parenting and positivity, through traditional as well as new media.

The Honorary Fellowship Presentation Ceremony has been held since 2009 to recognise outstanding members of the community who have devoted their energy and talent to their roles as school principals or teachers, or exemplary leaders in various professions, business sectors and industries.
