EdUHK Expands Global Network with European Union Partnership

In a meeting held at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) on 8 January 2024, Professor John Lee Chi-Kin, President and Chair Professor of Curriculum and Instruction, and Mr Thomas Gnocchi, Ambassador and Head of Office for the European Union Office to Hong Kong and Macao, engaged in discussions to further strengthen mutual understanding, common interests, and collaborative efforts between EdUHK and the European Union (EU).

As a result of this meeting, prospects emerged including the exploration of establishing an EU Centre at EdUHK, securing EU funding for EdUHK faculty members, arranging internships for EdUHK students at EU offices, organising EU expert talks on campus among other possibilities.

EdUHK looks forward to this partnership in strengthening collaboration with the EU. By leveraging the resources and expertise of both parties, EdUHK aims to enhance the quality of education, research, and international engagement for the benefit of its students, faculty members and the wider community.

EdUHK has established a robust global network of universities, fostering connections among education researchers, professors, and students worldwide. Throughout the years, the University has developed an extensive network of partnerships and collaborations with more than 200 educational institutions in over 40 countries and regions. This network serves as a platform for valuable exchanges of experiences, best practices, talent development and research collaborations.
