Reminders Before Departure

  • For the purposes of backup, it is recommended that you save a copy of the HKID card and passport in your email accounts.
  • Please inform your family member of your travel period, destination, brief itinerary, as well as the contact information for the EdUHK activity-in-charge and hosting organisation coordinator.
  • In case of an emergency, please notify the EdUHK Activity-in-charge and the host organisation coordinator immediately.

    The Outbound Travel Alert (OTA) of the Security Bureau can help you understand the level of risk and threat to your personal safety before travelling to a list of countries and/or territories.
      
  • Registration of Outbound Travel Information (ROTI)
    The HKSAR Government offers an online service for travellers to register their contact details and itinerary prior to travelling outside Hong Kong. Through this service, you can use the online service of the HKSAR Government at Registration of Outbound Travel Information (ROTI) to register your contact details, itinerary and to receive updates on Outbound Travel Alert (OTA) travelling public information.

Prior to departure, it is advisable to check the contact information of and advice from the respective Consulates in Hong Kong and in your country of destination.
