Introduction to the Course

“School Experience in Chinese Mainland” provides opportunities for students to undertake Block Practice or Contextualised Learning Experience at primary and secondary schools in Chinese Mainland. This enables students to gain deeper insights into the latest educational developments in Chinese Mainland and broaden their horizons, while strengthening their professional competence and preparing for their future careers in education.

The predecessor of this course was “Field Experience in the Greater Bay Area”. As our partnership with schools has expanded to other cities in Chinese Mainland, the course title has been renamed to “School Experience in Chinese Mainland” in 2025/26 to reflect the enriched diversity of learning and cultural experiences.

Duration

This year’s course will take place between May and June 2026 for 2 to 3 weeks. Students may choose to participate in either Block Practice in Chinese Mainland or Contextualised Learning Experience in Chinese Mainland. Each option offers unique learning experience, and past participants have benefited greatly from their involvement.
