This programme is designed for bachelor's degree holders, current teachers, and new teachers from a variety of disciplinary backgrounds in and beyond education.

Participants are required to complete a total of eight courses (24 credit points) for graduation.

  • Applicants should normally hold a recognised bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Applicants should submit a Personal Study Statement of 500-1,000 words articulating their interest in the programme.
  • Applicants should invite two referees to submit letters of recommendation. They should complete the standardized Referee's Report available in the online application system and submit them to the University (tpgadmission@eduhk.hk).
  • Applicants whose entrance qualification is obtained from an institution in a non-English speaking system should normally fulfil one of the following minimum English proficiency requirements:
  • overall score of IELTS 6.0 (academic version); or
  • Grade C or above in GCSE / GCE OL English; or
  • a TOEFL score of 80 (internet-based test); or
  • Band 6 in the Chinese Mainland’s College English Test (CET) with a total score of 430 or above (the test should have been taken no more than two years prior to the submission of this application); or
  • other equivalent qualifications.

Shortlisted applicants may be required to attend an interview.

Tuition Fee: HK$128,000 for both one-year full-time and two-year part-time mode.

The tuition fee is provisional and subject to adjustment. Tuition fees paid are normally not refundable or transferable. Extension fees will be charged to students who extend their studies beyond the normal duration (i.e., 1 year for full-time and 2 years for part-time).
