The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) promotes the innovative application of AI in the field of education. Professor Song Yanjie from the Department of Mathematics and Information Technology at EdUHK, and her research team have integrated generative AI and virtual reality (VR) technologies to create the personalised and interactive LearningverseVR metaverse platform. This platform allows students to experience the joy of interactive learning through immersive experiences.

The team has also developed several other AI-driven applications. These include ‘EmoCare’, which enhances student well-being through emotion recognition and personalised diaries, and "AGILE," which helps university students improve their presentation skills and self-directed learning abilities.

These innovative applications advance the concept of future education and spark students' interest in AI and enhance their AI literacy. This equips them with better knowledge and skills to face future changes and challenges in the digital age.
