Interviews on the AI & Education Futures: Professor Angel Lin
Professor Angel Lin, Chair Professor of Language, Literacy, and Social Semiotics in Education of The Education University of Hong Kong, says Artificial Intelligence (AI) will play an auxiliary role in teaching. Whether student and teacher initiative is affected by AI depends on both parties' capabilities for critical interaction. As well as guiding students to effectively use AI tools, teachers should cultivate students' critical AI literacy. She emphasised that employing AI technology with a critical and strategic attitude not only aids in educational reflection for the new era but also promotes the development of personalised, dynamically adaptive assessment tools. This can break through existing educational frameworks and drive innovative application design.
