EdUHK Signs Collaboration Agreement with Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications to Advance Academic Cooperation and Exchange

The Academy for Educational Development and Innovation (AEDI) of The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) signed a framework agreement with the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ) on 21 November to promote academic collaboration and exchange between the two parties.

The signing ceremony took place during the “Asia-Pacific Quality Network (APQN) Annual Academic Conference” hosted by HKCAAVQ, and was witnessed by EdUHK Deputy Council Chairman Professor Terence Chan Ho-wah, and HKCAAVQ Council Vice-Chairman Professor Richard Yuen.  The agreement was signed by EdUHK President and AEDI Director Professor John Lee Chi-Kin, and HKCAAVQ Director Mr Albert Chow, marking a new milestone in collaboration.

Under the agreement, AEDI and HKCAAVQ will jointly advance the following initiatives:
•    Co-develop and implement professional and academic programmes
•    Co-organise activities, conferences, seminars and academic exchange events

Professor John Lee Chi-Kin remarked that this highlights EdUHK’s dedication to shaping “Education Futures” through talent development. He stated, “By deepening our collaboration with HKCAAVQ, we aim to cultivate greater synergy and advance interdisciplinary partnerships. Together, we will empower educators and leaders with the skills and vision needed to support their careers, meet the challenges of tomorrow and create a lasting, positive impact on our communities.”

As AEDI prepares to launch postgraduate programmes and micro-credentials in quality assurance and higher education management, both parties plan to deepen their collaboration in curriculum design and development.

As a newly established academy of EdUHK, AEDI is committed to expanding interdisciplinary collaborations and partnerships while further strengthening its professional standing in higher education.
