EdUHK President’s Commendation Scheme Recognises Outstanding Students

The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) announced today (3 May) the awardee list of the President’s Commendation Scheme during the 2021/22 academic year. The Scheme recognises students’ outstanding performance beyond academic studies, namely Arts and Culture, Community Services, Leadership, Sports, and Innovation, Science and Technology.

This year, four students received the President’s Commendation – the highest level of recognition in the Scheme – for their distinguished performance in the area of Arts and Culture, Sports and Innovation, Science and Technology, while another three were awarded the President’s Appreciation.

EdUHK President Professor Stephen Cheung Yan-leung congratulated the awardees on their achievements. Praising their efforts in pursuit of excellence, he said, “The University is dedicated to promoting students’ whole-person development, and the Scheme is part of our endeavours to recognise students’ versatility apart from academic achievements. I am pleased to see our students unlocking possibilities through their talents, creativity and passion.”

The President’s Commendation Scheme Award is open to all full-time students enrolled at EdUHK. Since its inception in 2010, over 120 students and groups have been awarded. For the brief biographies of the Award recipients in the 2021/22 academic year, please visit:
