14 EdUHK Alumni Honoured at Chief Executive’s Award for Teaching Excellence
Representing Over 80 Percent of Award-Winning Teachers

The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) is pleased to announce that 14 of the 17 outstanding teachers recognised at the Chief Executive’s Award for Teaching Excellence (CEATE) 2025/26 are EdUHK alumni. Accounting for more than 80% of the awardees, this achievement underscores EdUHK’s strong track record in nurturing exceptional educational talent.
Professor John Lee Chi-Kin, President of EdUHK, extended his warm congratulations to all award-winning teachers and expressed pride in the remarkable performance of the alumni. He said, “14 alumni receiving the Chief Executive’s Award for Teaching Excellence and Certificates of Merit this year is a clear recognition of their professional achievements. It also reflects EdUHK’s commitment and success in cultivating outstanding educators. We will continue to promote educational innovation and professional development, nurturing more teachers with a strong sense of mission and passion for education, and contributing to the continuous advancement of Hong Kong’s education sector.”
This year, the CEATE received around 200 nominations from secondary schools, primary schools, kindergartens and special schools. Following assessment, two nominations (eight teachers) were presented with the Award for Teaching Excellence; two nominations (six teachers) with the Certificate of Merit; two nominations (two teachers) with the Award for Budding Teachers; and one nomination (one teacher) with the Award for Education Innovation.

• Certificate of Merit: Ms Chan Shuk-suet, Ms Lo Yuet-yi (L.S.T. Leung Kau Kui Primary School (Branch))
• Certificate of Merit: Mr Wong Fung-nung, Mr Hui Siu-lung, Mr Liu Wai-fung, Mr Lo Hong-ming (S.K.H. Yautong Kei Hin Primary School)
Award for Budding Teachers
• Ms Choi Ngai-lam (The Yuen Yuen Institute MFBM Nei Ming Chan Lui Chung Tak Memorial College)
As the cradle of Hong Kong's future teachers, EdUHK has nurtured over 130,000 educators and professionals across various sectors over the past 32 years. Currently, approximately 70% of educators in Hong Kong’s secondary schools, primary schools, kindergartens, and special education institutions are EdUHK graduates. Furthermore, over 70% of past awardees of the CEATE are alumni of EdUHK or the former Colleges of Education, affirming EdUHK’s leading position in cultivating outstanding educational talent.
