EdUHK Receives QS Recognition Award for Research and Discovery –
Performance Improvement at the QS Higher Ed Summit: Asia Pacific 2025

The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) is proud to announce it received the Research and Discovery – Performance Improvement Recognition Award, at the QS Higher Ed Summit: Asia Pacific 2025, which concluded on 6 November. This prestigious accolade was awarded to EdUHK from a field of 1,526 universities, underscoring the University’s excellence in advancing impactful research and continuous improvement in academic and research performance across disciplines.


The Summit brought together representatives from over 20 countries and more than 130 institutions, featuring over 60 panel discussions that fostered collaboration and knowledge exchange among leading universities in the region. The event provided a platform for cutting-edge research dialogue and helped strengthen EdUHK’s position as a thought leader in educational innovation and technology-enhanced learning.


During the Summit, Professor Lim Cher-ping, Chair Professor of Learning Technologies and Innovation, Co-Director of Global Institute for Emerging Technologies, delivered an inspirational talk on ‘Leveraging Emerging Technologies for Enhancing Inclusive and Equitable Quality Education’. His presentation explored innovative strategies for integrating digital tools and AI-driven approaches to make education more accessible and equitable, aligning with EdUHK’s vision of promoting educational excellence for all learners.

 

EdUHK ranked 152nd out of 1,526 higher education institutions in the QS World University Rankings: Asia 2026, rising 60 places from the previous year, placing the University in the top 10% across the region. The rankings highlight EdUHK's strong performance across key indicators, reflecting the University's sustained commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and global engagement.
