EdUHK Holds International Postgraduate Roundtable and Research Forum cum Summer School 2025
The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) held the International Postgraduate Roundtable and Research Forum cum Summer School (IPRRFSS) 2025 on its Tai Po campus, between 29 July and 1 August. Under the theme ‘Interdisciplinary Frontiers: Exploring Mind, Language, and Environment for a Sustainable Future’, the conference served as an important forum for sharing and discussing cutting-edge research. It brought together approximately 330 postgraduate students, alumni, researchers and renowned scholars from 23 countries and regions worldwide to share their latest research findings.
In his online opening speech, EdUHK President Professor John Lee Chi-Kin, emphasised the University’s commitment to Education Futures, Diverse Talent. He added that the conference theme highlighted the importance of creating a collaborative space, in which postgraduate students may transcend disciplinary and geographic boundaries, showcase their research, and engage with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
In welcoming the participants to the event, EdUHK Vice President (Research and Development) Professor Chetwyn Chan Che-hin remarked, “The conference theme underscores the importance of bridging disciplines such as psychology, linguistics, education, language and culture, and environmental science to address the multifaceted challenges facing our global community. By integrating insights from different disciplines, we can cultivate innovative approaches to learning that empower individuals to become agents of positive change in their communities.”
Nine renowned scholars delivered keynote speeches at the conference, sharing their insights on topics related to Education, Linguistics, Psychology, Language and Culture, and Environmental Science (see the table below for a list of keynote speakers and their topics).
