Professor Daniel Chow was Professor at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University where he has worked for over 19 years mainly in area of Biomedical Engineering. After obtaining his PhD from the University of Strathclyde, UK in 1992, Professor Chow has developed a specialisation in the areas of movement analysis, sports biomechanics, ergonomics, and sports performance and evaluation for a wide range of population in particular for schoolchildren and adolescents. He is also the world leading scholar in schoolbag study. Currently, he is the Chairman of the Biomedical Division of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers.

 

Professor Chow had established the Sports Bioengineering Unit for the Hong Kong Jockey Club Sports Medicine and Health Sciences Centre at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He has also been appointed as honorary advisors of many professional organisations. He is Editorial Board Members of the  International Journal of Industrial Ergonomics and Journal of Healthcare Engineering
