EdUHK Welcomes Dr Annie S.C. Wu and Chinese Foundation Secondary School Delegation
The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) welcomed a delegation led by Dr Annie S.C. Wu, Chairperson of the School Sponsoring Body and Founding School Supervisor of The Chinese Foundation Secondary School (CFSS), to its Tai Po Campus on 10 September. The delegation included Ms Marina Y.P. Wong, School Supervisor of CFSS, and Mr Ho Tik-shun, School Principal of CFSS. They were warmly received by President Professor John Lee Chi-Kin, together with EdUHK representatives, including School Partnership and Field Experience Director Dr Kevin Kam Wai-keung, Associate Director Ms Mandy Au Yuen-yee, Professional Consultant Mr Langton Cheung Yung-pong, Dean of Students Professor Bill Yeung Chi-ho, and Director of Alumni Affairs and Development Ms Judy Kong Ka-wai.
Professor John Lee welcomed Dr Wu and the delegation, underscoring the importance of bridging secondary and tertiary education. He highlighted EdUHK’s commitment to nurturing future-ready talent, supporting students’ holistic development and advancing excellence in learning, teaching, and educational innovation, with a strong dedication to contributing to the society.
Dr Kevin Kam briefed the delegation on the University’s latest developments and strategic initiatives, including its school partnership network and collaborative projects in the Chinese Mainland. Professor Bill Yeung introduced EdUHK’s multidisciplinary strengths across education and non-education fields, highlighting the University’s commitment to nurture students with professional competence and diverse talents to meet the evolving needs of society. Faculty representatives—Dr Fung Chi-wang, Assistant Dean (Quality Assurance and Programmes) of the Faculty of Humanities; Professor Song Yanjie of the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences; and Dr Arita Chan Wing-yan of the Faculty of Education and Human Development—presented EdUHK’s programmes and research initiatives, offerings the delegation deeper insights into the University’s academic and interdisciplinary strengths.
The delegation also visited Mong Man Wai Library’s Extended Reality Room, AI Innovation Hub, New Academic Building and the “A Decade of Transformation: An Exhibition Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of EdUHK’s Retitling”.
The delegation expressed appreciation for EdUHK’s warm hospitality and commended the University’s development and achievements. EdUHK looks forward to strengthening future collaboration with CFSS to jointly promote educational innovation and holistic youth development.
