Tracing the Evolution of MEP Discourse Using Natural Language Processing (NLP) Techniques (CCA)

Dr Yang’s study investigates the development of Music Education Philosophy (MEP) in Mainland China through a corpus-based text analysis of 346 scholarly articles. • The book brings together photography studies, postcolonial and diaspora studies, and word and image relations.
  • This book offers an interdisciplinary framework based on photographic “events” in South Asian postcolonial literature.
  • Moving away from the specter of colonial visual regimes that still haunt South Asian representations, Banerjee calls for new ways of seeing.
  • Discarding the materiality of the visual image, Banerjee focuses on its performative absent presence as icon, metaphor and trace.
  • "Traces of the Real" attends to the intermedial aspects of language, particularly as it is mediated by photography.
