Translating Research on “The Animated Chinese History for the Curious Minds” for School Children in Hong Kong
- In alignment with the vision of LCS, this study seeks to advance the promotion of traditional Chinese culture and historical scholarship through dedicated research initiatives. This action research aims to achieve the following objectives:
- To conduct an empirical investigation into the efficacy of utilizing “The Animated Chinese History for the Curious Minds” as a pedagogical tool for teaching the Primary General Studies curriculum, with a focus on innovative and interdisciplinary approaches to Chinese history learning.
- To evaluate the effectiveness of integrating historical education with STEM disciplines, thereby enhancing students’ understanding and appreciation of the contributions of scientists throughout Chinese history.
- To gather and analyze feedback from primary school students and teachers regarding the use of the educational package.
- To foster a heightened curiosity among students to learn Chinese history and further stimulate their engagement in historical inquiry.
