The MADHCP programme provides a wide range of courses with a focus on the following areas: cultural management, cultural preservation, data analytics, digital learning, digital media, and creative arts.

 

The Programme Intended Learning Outcomes (PILOs) are as follows. Graduates will be able to:

 

  • evaluate and develop digital humanities research methods, principles, and concepts (PILO1);
  • conceptualise and implement the digital practices essential in the cultural and arts domains (PILO2);
  • critically evaluate digital works (texts, visuality, virtual practices, etc.) as cultural artefacts and discourses (PILO3); and
  • assess and formulate the ethical considerations necessary for professionals working in digital humanities, creative arts and cultural industries (PILO4).

Master of Arts in Chinese Studies (Language Education) [MACSLE]

Master of Arts in Chinese Studies (Language Education) offered by the Faculty of Humanities of EdUHK is specially designed for professionals like Chinese-language educators, editors, administrative executives and civil servants. The programme is recognised by the Standing Committee on Language Education and Research (SCOLAR) of Hong Kong as one of the programmes under “Recognised Language Major Degree Programmes”.
Master of Arts in Global Histories of Education [MAGHE]

Master of Arts in Global Histories of Education [MAGHE]

MAGHE is an interdisciplinary programme and brings together courses in global history, the history of education and comparative education. It is geared towards a deeper understanding of the present state of education and will provide students a grounded perspective on the future. The programme aims at cultivating graduates with an awareness of the historical processes that forged and continue to shape modern education systems in East Asia and worldwide, and thereby equips students with professionally relevant academic knowledge. It can also serve as a stepping stone for doctoral studies.

The Master of Arts in Intercultural Communication and Translation (MAICT) is designed to cultivate students’ intercultural and multicultural awareness, enhancing effective language use in communication with people from diverse cultural backgrounds. The programme combines theoretical coursework with practical training, addressing key areas such as practical translation techniques, professional discourses, sociolinguistics, and intercultural communication strategies. Students develop the skills to navigate and bridge cultural differences, facilitating the effective and nuanced translation of texts and dialogues across various professional contexts.
