EdUHK Receives Former Education Secretary Mr Ng Hak-kim and Delegation from Chinese Mainland Education Group

The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) welcomed Mr Ng Hak-kim, Former Secretary for Education of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region along with a delegation from Chinese Mainland education groups to its Tai Po Campus recently.

 

EdUHK President Professor John Lee Chi-Kin, Director of the School Partnership and Field Experience Dr Kevin Kam Wai-keung, and Director of Alumni Affairs and Development Ms Judy Kong Ka-wai met with the delegation. Views on collaboration between institutions in the Greater Bay Area, particularly in teacher training, postgraduate programme development, and student and faculty exchange initiatives were discussed. 


Professor Lee introduced the latest curriculum developments of EdUHK to Mr Ng Hak-kim and the delegation, saying, “EdUHK has been actively promoting educational collaboration with the Chinese Mainland. This exchange has laid an initial foundation for future collaboration to jointly enhance teacher professional development and cultivate future talents through innovative educational technology.”


The delegation also visited the Hong Kong Education Museum and the Future Classroom of the University, experiencing first-hand EdUHK’s achievements in innovative educational technology. Mr Ng expressed his appreciation of  the University’s remarkable progress in recent years and affirmed its contributions to advancing education innovation.
