EdUHK Info Day 2026 Showcases Admissions Pathways and Campus Life

The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) hosted its Information Day for Undergraduate Admissions (Info Day) on 31 October at its Tai Po Campus, attracting a record-breaking number of around 30,000 participants, both onsite and online. The event provided prospective students, parents, teachers, and individuals interested in further studies with comprehensive information for the 2027/28 academic year, alongside opportunities to experience first-hand the University’s vibrant learning environment.

Five admissions talks were delivered by staff from the Registry, the Global Affairs Office, and academic departments, together with current students. The sessions covered pathways for JUPAS applicants, senior-year entrants with sub-degree or post-secondary qualifications, Chinese Mainland JEE (Gaokao) candidates, applicants with international qualifications, and student-athletes. Topics included admissions requirements, programme features, interview arrangements, student life, and career prospects.

At the briefing on the Student-Athlete Learning Support and Admission Scheme (SALSA Scheme), distinguished alumni Ms Leung Wing-yee (Silver & Bronze medalist, 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games; Bronze medalist, Women’s Team Pursuit, 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games) and Ms Leung Bo-yee (participant of 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games; Silver medalist, Individual Pursuit, 2020 Asian Track Cycling Championships; Bronze medalist, Women’s Team Pursuit, 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games), together with current student Ms Lee Hiu-yau (former archery athlete of Team Hong Kong, China and student in the inaugural cohort of EdUHK Honours College), shared their experiences. They highlighted how EdUHK’s flexible learning arrangements and professional guidance enabled them to balance academic studies with athletic development, offering valuable insights to aspiring student-athletes.

Beyond admissions talks, the Info Day featured programme briefings, an admissions chatroom, a Psychology carnival, workshops, game booths, a roadshow on artificial intelligence (AI) & emerging technologies, and student performances. Guided tours introduced participants to key campus facilities, including the Arthur Samy Language Learning Centre, the Library, student halls, and the Psychological and Behavioral Sciences Laboratory.

Building on its strong educational foundation, EdUHK offers a broad range of multidisciplinary undergraduate programmes. In the 2027/28 academic year, the University will provide 26 UGC-funded programmes for Year-1 Entry, comprising 13 teacher education double degree programmes, 12 non-teacher education programmes, and one higher diploma programme. For Senior Year Entry, 16 UGC-funded non-teacher education programmes will be available.
