The 7th International Conference on Chinese Classics Education at EdUHK

You and your representatives are cordially invited to cover a 2-day conference titled 7th International Conference on Chinese Classics Education to be held at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) starting on 19 May 2017 (this Friday).

Officiating at the opening ceremony will be Ms Florence Hui, HKSAR Under Secretary for Home Affairs; Professor Lui Tai-lok, Vice President (Research and Development) of EdUHK; and Professor Tong Ho-kin, Acting Dean of Faculty of Humanities of EdUHK.

Jointly organised by the Department of Chinese Language Studies at EdUHK and the Literacy Education of the National Taichung University of Education, the conference’s other collaborators include Culture Association, Chinese Culture Institute, Hong Kong Confucian Association, Hong Kong Nang Yan College of Higher Education, International Classic Global Education and Learning Foundation, New Asia Institute, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong Baptist University, and The University of Hong Kong (in alphabetical order).

A total of 26 specialist scholars from Hong Kong, mainland China, Taiwan, Singapore, South Korea, and Thailand are invited to present academic papers and keynote speeches at the event. Classic learning’s theoretical basis, Classic learning’s pedagogy and critical thinking training, Classic learning’s life education, materials and methods, practices, strategies, as well as its sustainable development, among others, will be discussed.
