EdUHK Forum: Dialogues between Practitioners and Scholars on Hong Kong Football

You or your representatives are cordially invited to the Forum on “Dialogue between Practitioners and Scholars on Hong Kong Football” to be held at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) on 24 May (this Wednesday).

The encouraging performance of the Hong Kong football team in international tournaments has been in the limelight recently, attracting local attention. As the city that organised the first professional football league in Asia, Hong Kong plays a significant role in the sport’s development throughout Greater China. Moreover, football has served as a witness to change in the city’s social, cultural and political makeup over the last decade.

During the forum, distinguished football practitioners and academics will share their opinions on issues ranging from local football history, government policies and the identities of expatriate players to fan culture, gender and youth development in Hong Kong’s context.
