Ms Cindy Cheung Yuen-lai is the Assistant Vice President (Talent and Culture) and the Director of Human Resources at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), where she leads the strategic development and implementation of human capital initiatives that support the University’s mission in education, research and community engagement.  

With extensive experience in human resources management, organisational development, and talent strategy, Ms Cheung oversees the full spectrum of HR functions at EdUHK, including talent acquisition and retention, leadership development, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee relations and organisational culture building.

As a member of the University’s leadership team, she plays a pivotal role in driving people-centric policies and fostering a culture of inclusion, collaboration and professional growth.  She is also instrumental in aligning HR strategies with EdUHK’s institutional vision, ensuring the University continues to attract, develop and retain high-caliber talent in the competitive higher education sector.
