To produce 13 innovative videos, accompanied by short articles, games, and face-to-face seminars. Since these deliverables will be circulated for free, offline and online, they will likely have a particular impact on parents and children from disadvantaged backgrounds who often lack access to quality parent education. In the long run, the initiative aims to reduce parental stress and promote child well-being on a societal level, making a difference to parents, children, and the community.

The project is a positive response to the rising divorce rates in Hong Kong. According to the Census and Statistics Department, the number of divorces has been increasing continuously, with the crude divorce rate at 2.34 per 1,000 population in 2016, more than double that seen in 1991. This interdisciplinary study will examine the antecedents and consequences of having a positive marital relationship in Hong Kong. Findings derived from the study will be used to inform CCFS’s knowledge exchange activities, so as to make a larger social impact for the wellbeing of children and families.
