Professor Michelle Gu Mingyue has been elected as a Fellow of The Hong Kong Academy of the Humanities
Professor Michelle Gu Mingyue, Dean of the Graduate School, has recently been elected as a Fellow of The Hong Kong Academy of the Humanities in recognition of her research excellence and continuous contributions to the humanities.
Professor Gu is a prolific scholar in sociolinguistics and applied linguistics, with a strong record in securing external competitive research grants as a principal investigator. She received the President’s Award in Individual Research Excellence at The Education University of Hong Kong in 2022. She is also listed among the World’s Top 2% Most-cited Scientists by Stanford University.
