Master of Arts in Digital Linguistics and Intercultural Communication [MADLIC] – Chinese Programme and English Programme

The MADLIC is committed to providing students with a wide range of practical learning opportunities. It currently works closely with a number of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in Hong Kong to offer students internship placements in the field of language education. Through these placements, students gain valuable practical experience and apply their knowledge of linguistics and intercultural communication in real-world social and educational settings. This not only supports their professional and personal development but also lays a solid foundation for future careers in language teaching, international education, cultural exchange, and related fields.
 
MADLIC graduates may pursue careers in a range of related professions, including media consultancy, policy analysis, international education consultancy, corporate and international-organisation communications consultancy, foreign-language teaching, and translation. Graduates may also further develop their careers through the programme’s focus on research methodology in language and communication studies, as well as its exploration of the latest research in the field. These components help enhance students’ research capabilities and prepare them for continued professional development.
