Bachelor degree holders, especially those who wish to build a career or pursue further studies in areas of psychology and education.
The programme comprises 24 credit points (cps), which can typically be earned within one year of full-time studies or two years of part-time studies. Students are required to complete 5 core courses and 3 elective courses for graduation. Each course carries 3 cps. The list of available courses is shown below:

The medium of instruction is English.
Full-time students are expected to complete the programme in 1 year, while part-time students are expected to complete the programme in 2 years. Full-time students will attend 4 classes per week and part-time students will attend 2 classes per week, usually held on weekday evenings and Saturdays at the Tai Po Campus. Classes may also be held in Tseung Kwan O Study Centre / North Point Study Centre / Kowloon Tong Satellite Study Centre as decided by the University.
1. The Department of Psychology Entrance Scholarship for Master of Arts in Positive Psychology in Education Programme Programme 2024/25
The Department of Psychology Entrance Scholarship for Master of Arts in Positive Psychology in Education Programme will be awarded to a maximum of two new students who are enrolled in the 2024/25 academic year. To be eligible, students must have demonstrated an outstanding academic accomplishments during their undergraduate studies. Each awardee will receive HK$10,000.
Any eligible applicants who fulfilled the selection criteria and submit the curriculum vitae and/or documentary evidence of his/her records of academic excellence will be automatically considered for the scholarship.
2. Positive Psychology in Education Entrance Scholarship for Master of Arts in Positive Psychology in Education Programme Programme 2024/25
Positive Psychology in Education Entrance Scholarship will be awarded to a maximum of two new students who are enrolled in the 2024/25 academic year. To be eligible, students must have demonstrated the evidence of notable contribution to the field of positive psychology and positive education or the community at large. Each awardee will receive HK$10,000.
Any eligible applicants who fulfilled the selection criteria and submit the personal statement with evidence stating their relevant working or learning experience in the field of positive psychology and positive education or providing evidence of their contribution to the community at large to the online application system will be automatically considered for the scholarship.
The tuition fee is HK$139,920 which is provisional and subject to adjustment. Tuition fees paid are normally not refundable or transferable. Extension fees will be charged to students who have to extend their studies beyond the normal duration (i.e. 1 year for full-time and 2 years for part-time).
Applicants should hold a recognised Bachelor’s degree.
Applicants whose entrance qualification was obtained from an institution in a non-English speaking system should normally fulfil one of the following minimum English proficiency requirements:
The results of IELTS/TOEFL provided should be within two years (i.e., for the 2024/25 intake, the IELTS/TOEFL test must be obtained on or after 1 Jan 2022); and
The results of IELTS/TOEFL should be “taken in test centres” (i.e., tests taken online such as IELTS indicator/IELTS Online and TOEFL Home Editions are NOT accepted).
