Welcome to Teaching and Learning in International Schools!

The Minor in Teaching and Learning in International Schools aims to engage the Bachelor of Education Programmes' (BEd) students in
developing a critical understanding of international education, international schools, their students, teachers, communities and cultures.

This Minor paves the way for BEd students to pursue teaching careers in international schools in Hong Kong and abroad, in local schools with internationalised curricula, in schools across Asia that are opening international sections, and in international schools globally.

BEd students who successfully complete the Minor in Teaching and Learning in International Schools can earn the International Baccalaureate (IB) Certificate in Teaching and Learning.

  • Pre-registration with the IB is required.
  • A fee for the IB Certificate in Teaching and Learning will be payable to the IB upon graduation.

Welcome to Education Issues in Global Context!

The aim of this Minor is to sharpen pre-service students’ thinking capacities by challenging them with local and global / international contexts where complicated issues in education are expected. Drawing upon both Western and Eastern traditions of thought, students are provided with a platform to make sense of the educational key issues within which they are about to work.
