In a fast-changing world, teachers, like all professionals, are required to think predictively and imaginatively, so that when problems arise, they can exercise good judgment skills on the spot. However, without a substantial understanding of and practice in thinking, it is hard to nurture such capacities. This Minor aims to sharpen students’ thinking capacities by challenging them with local and global/international contexts where complicated issues in education are expected. Drawing upon both Western and Eastern traditions of thought, students are provided with a platform to make sense of the key educational issues within which they are about to work.
