EdUHK Signs MoU with emlyon business school to Establish International Programmes and Strengthen Academic Exchange

The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) and emlyon business school signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today (9 April) to establish a strategic collaboration that will expand academic cooperation, enhance student and staff exchange, and develop joint programmes between the two institutions.

 

The agreement was formalised during a signing ceremony held at EdUHK’s Tai Po campus, attended by senior leaders and delegations from both universities. It marked the beginning of a new chapter of exchanges and programme development between the two institutions.

 

Professor John Lee Chi-Kin, EdUHK President and Professor Isabelle Huault, President of emlyon business school, signed the MoU on behalf of the universities. During the ceremony, both institutions engaged in in-depth discussions on the direction of future collaboration in business education and affirmed their joint commitment to leveraging the unique advantages of Hong Kong and France.

 

Professor Lee remarked, “This partnership reflects EdUHK’s unwavering commitment to internationalisation and talent development. By joining hands with emlyon business school, we are creating new pathways for our students and staff to gain global perspectives, applied business knowledge and cross-cultural experience. Together, we will nurture future leaders who can thrive in a rapidly-changing world and contribute meaningfully to society”

 

Professor Huault said, “We are delighted to embark on this collaboration with EdUHK, which brings together two institutions with complementary strengths and shared aspirations. This partnership will enable us to co-develop innovative academic programmes, foster mobility across Asia and Europe, and build bridges between communities. I am confident that our joint initiatives will set new standards for excellence, innovation, and global impact in higher education.”

 

Under the partnership, EdUHK and emlyon business school will pursue a number of joint initiatives, including the development of dual academic programmes, exchange of faculty, researchers and students for teaching, research and professional development, co-organisation of workshops and joint conferences, and collaboration on curriculum design, quality assurance, and micro-credential offerings.

 

Other distinguished guests from EdUHK at the ceremony were Professor Chetwyn Chan Che-Hin, Vice President (Research and Development), Dr Tom Fong Wing-ho, Vice President (Administration) and Secretary to Council, Professor Pamela Leung Pui-wan, Academy for Educational Development and Innovation (AEDI) Executive Co-Director, Professor Susanna Yeung Siu-sze, AEDI Executive Co-Director, Professor Lam Chak-fu, Professor of AEDI. Joining from emlyon business school (Asia) were its Dean Dr Xing Wen-long, and Associate Dean for Programmes and International Cooperation Professor Nikola Zivlak.
