Professor Hans J Ladegaard, Head at the Department of English Language Education, The Education University of Hong Kong, has recently been elected as the President of The Hong Kong Academy of the Humanities for the 2026–2028 term.

The aim of the Hong Kong Academy of Humanities is to promote and advance humanities research in and about Hong Kong, and to nurture and inspire future talents in humanities research. The Academy has 92 elected fellows, including 16 Early-Career Fellows, across all humanities disciplines and across all public universities in Hong Kong.
