Dr Lee Ju Seong, Associate Head and Associate Professor at the Department of English Language Education, The Education University of Hong Kong, has been elected Vice President of the Asian Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language (AsiaTEFL) for the 2026–2028 term.

In this role, Dr Lee will contribute to the development of the association’s conferences and help strengthen professional networks across the region, fostering greater international collaboration in English language education.

Founded in 2003, AsiaTEFL is one of Asia’s leading professional associations in the field of English language education. With two co-presidents, regional representatives from 24 Asian regions, and around 19,000 members worldwide, the association provides an important platform for research exchange, professional development, and academic collaboration across Asia and beyond.
