National Flag Raising Ceremony

The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) held a national flag raising ceremony this morning (1 January) on its Tai Po campus. Attending the ceremony were President Professor Stephen Cheung Yan-Leung, Vice President (Academic) and Provost Professor John Lee Chi-kin, Vice President (Research and Development) Professor Chetwyn Chan Che-hin, Vice President (Administration) Ms Sarah Wong Man-yee; staff and students.

Starting from today, the University will hoist the national flag, the regional flag and the EdUHK flag on each school day. A flag raising ceremony will be held every Monday and on designated days (including the New Year’s Day, HKSAR Establishment Day and National Day). Meanwhile, plans are being made to relocate the flag poles, currently sited adjacent to the U-shuttle stop for boarding and alighting, to the plaza facing the administration building.
