Professor Wong Ming-hung, Advisor (Environmental Science) at the Department of Science and Environmental Studies, The Education University of Hong Kong, was invited to serve as Lead Scientist in a large-scale project entitled ‘Bio-restoration of polluted soil ecosystems’, sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation (2022-2024).

Professor Wong will assist Professor Tatiana Minkina, Head of the School of Soil Science and Land Resources at Southern Federal University, in establishing a world-class ‘Laboratory on Soil Health’. He will also give advice on formulating research directions, organising conferences, training research personnel, arranging staff/student exchanges, and publishing scientific papers in high-ranking journals.
