Delegation from Lee Hysan Foundation Visits EdUHK

Ms Cecilia Ho and Mr Clifford Chow, President and Vice President of Lee Hysan Foundation (LHF), led a delegation to EdUHK on 29 July 2021 to gain a deeper understanding of the University’s vision and the latest developments in different areas. 

 

Accompanied by Professor John Lee Chi-kin, Vice President (Academic) and Provost, and Mrs Patricia Lau, Director of Alumni Affairs and Development, President Stephen Cheung Yan-leung received the delegation and thanked LHF for its support to the University. 

 

The delegation visited the Centre for Psychosocial Health, where Director Dr Hou Wai-kai gave a summary of the centre’s current research and an update of the project funded by LHF. Other faculty members, including Professor Kerry Lee, Head of Department of Early Childhood Education (ECE); Dr Derwin Chan King-chung, Associate Head of ECE; Professor Kevin Chung Kien-hoa, Director of Centre for Child and Family Science (CCFS); Dr Ian Lam Chun-bun, Co-Director of CCFS; Professor Kenneth Sin Kuen-fung, Director of  Centre for Special Educational Needs and Inclusive Education; and Professor Leung Chi-hung, Co-Director of Integrated Centre for Wellbeing; briefed the visitors on their work and future plans concerning early childhood education, special needs and inclusive education, children development and support to families. 

 

Generous support and donations had been received from LHF in the past to enable the University to nurture outstanding and caring educators; facilitate educational research, development and innovations as well as enhancing teaching resources.
