Prior to joining The Education University of Hong Kong, Professor Jennifer L. Jolly's leadership experience included holding the position of programme director for gifted education, overseeing the MTech programme, serving as division leader of elementary education, and founding and directing the Gifted Education and Talent Development Office.
 
Her research interests encompass the history of gifted education, homeschooling families and parents of gifted students, twice-exceptionality, and gifted education in the Australian context. This research has provided opportunities for collaboration with colleagues in the US and across the world. She currently serves as co-editor-in-chief for the Journal for the Education of the Gifted. Findings from her research have been published in journals such as Gifted Child Quarterly, Journal for the Education of the Gifted, High Ability Studies, Roper Review, and Educational Review. She has also authored and edited several books in the field of gifted education, including Methods and Materials (5th ed.) (Prufrock Academic Press/Routledge) and A History of American Gifted Education (Routledge).
