The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) will jointly organise the 4th Asian-African Women’s Development and Cooperation Forum with Women Empowerment & Development Society in Asia-Africa (WEDS) on 10 November 2025 (Mon). At the occasion, the launch ceremonies of the Global Centre for Women, Development and Education at Academy for Applied Policy Studies and Education Futures, EdUHK and the Global Women’s Development Action Alliance would also be highlighted.

Themed “Opportunities and Challenges for Women’s Development in the Age of AI,” the Forum will bring together senior government officials from Asia and Africa, scholars, leaders, and outstanding women to exchange insights on advancing women’s development in the new era. The event has invited distinguished keynote speakers, including:
- Dr Zhao Meiling, President of WEDS, Legal Person of the Beijing Madam Cultural Center, and Initiator of the Silk Road Happiness Fund, China Foundation for Peace and Development
- Professor John Lee Chi-Kin, President of EdUHK and Member of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference
- Ms Starry Lee Wai-king, Honorary Professor of EdUHK and Standing Committee Member of the 14th National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China
- Ms Melissa K. Pang, Member of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and former President of The Law Society of Hong Kong
