­­The Department of Early Childhood Education at The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) is pleased to announce that the4th International Summer School and Symposium for Junior Researchers (InSuDoc 2026) will take place from 2-4 June 2026 in Hong Kong.

InSuDoc 2026 brings together international, regional, and local doctoral students and early-career researchers – including post-doctoral fellows, master’s students, and research assistants – in the fields of Early Childhood Education and Development (ECED), and related disciplines such as Developmental Psychology, Child Development, and Special Needs Education.

The summer school offers a unique platform to enhance your research skills, gain insights from leading ECED researchers and editors, and prepare for successful publication. Renowned scholars Professor Marek Tesar (The University of Melbourne, Australia), Professor Beth O’Brien (Nanyang Technological University, Singapore), Professor Montserrat Castelló (Universitat Ramon Llull, Spain), and Dr Tao Sisi (EdUHK), will lead specialised workshops to foster your academic growth.

This year’s theme, “Developing Skills in Bridging Theory and Practice in Child Development and Family Studies”, underscores the importance of practical application and interdisciplinary understanding. Participants will have the opportunity to present their research and receive constructive feedback from peers and experts, and expand their professional network.

Beyond academic activities, InSuDoc 2026 emphasises networking, collaboration, and friendship-building through social events to enrich your overall experience. Unique to this year’s event, each participant will receive “Edu the ECE Monkey” as a souvenir.
