The Chancellor of the University is the Chief Executive of Hong Kong. The Education University of Hong Kong Ordinance makes provision for an executive governing body, the Council.
Dr David WONG Yau-kar (黃友嘉博士), GBS, JP
Dr David Wong received a PhD in Economics at the University of Chicago in 1987. He previously served as an Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. Dr Wong has since worked in various industries including corporate finance, manufacturing and trading. He currently serves as a non-executive director at a number of listed and non-listed companies.
Dr Wong actively participates in various community services. He is presently Hong Kong Deputy to The National People’s Congress, a member of the Chief Executive’s Council of Advisers on Innovation and Strategic Development and also a member of Exchange Fund Advisory Committee. Dr Wong is also Chairman of the Panel of Advisors of the Land Sharing Pilot Scheme and Chairman of the Board of Governors of HKCT Institute of Higher Education. He previously served as President of the Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong (2010-2011).
Dr Wong was conferred an Honorary Fellow by Lingnan University in 2012, the Vocational Training Council in 2013, Hong Kong Baptist University in 2018 and The Open University of Hong Kong in 2020, respectively.

Dr Terence CHAN Ho-wah (陳浩華博士)
Dr Terence Chan is the Chairman of Bay Area Capital Partners Limited, a Hong Kong SFC licensed asset management firm that focuses on private equity investment in the area of real estate & infrastructure asset, property & construction technology, clean energy, fintech, environmental, social and governance (ESG) enhancement and smart cities applications. He has been an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Real Estate and Construction of The University of Hong Kong with main areas of research in cross-border real estate investment, asset securitisation, technology application and sustainable development.
Dr Chan not only holds a PhD in Economics and an MSc in Real Estate, but also possesses professional fellow membership in CPA Australia (FCPA) and Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS) as well as the professional designation of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). He is deeply devoted to industry and professional bodies through assuming the roles of the Chairman of ESG & Sustainable Investment Committee of Hong Kong Independent Non-Executive Director Association, the Co-chairman of the Belt and Road Working Group of Hong Kong Green Finance Association, a Member of Committee on Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) of the Securities and Futures Commission, a Member of the Mainland Opportunities Committee of Financial Services Development Council and Advisory Board Member of CFA Society Hong Kong. He is also a Member of the Chinese Association of Hong Kong & Macao Studies of the State Council and a Member of the 2021 Election Committee of the HKSAR Government.
Dr Chan actively participates in education and social service. He was a Council Member of Hong Kong Baptist University. Ms Imma LING Kit-sum (凌潔心女士)
Ms Imma Ling is a Certified Public Accountant and a retired assurance partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers. She is Independent Non-executive Director of Wise Ally International Holdings Limited, Raymond Industrial Limited, EVA Precision Industrial Holdings Limited and Arta TechFin Corporation Limited; all of which are listed on the Main Board of The Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

Mr Armstrong Lee Hon-cheung is a seasoned management and HR consultant and Managing Director of Worldwide Consulting Group Company Limited.

Mrs Joanna LI LAU Lai-hing (李劉麗卿女士), MH
Mrs Joanna Li is the Managing Partner of King and Company, Solicitors & Notaries. She is also a China-Appointed Attesting Officer. Throughout her career, Mrs Li has acquired ample experience and knowledge in the areas of commercial, dispute resolution, family disputes, regulatory and real estate. Mr Kennedy Liu is a Certified Public Accountant and holds an MBA degree from The University of Warwick, U.K. He was a partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he served over 38 years, including 28 years as a partner. Professor LUI Hon-kwong (呂漢光教授)
Professor Lui Hon-kwong is the Associate Vice-President (Projects) and Professor of the Department of Marketing and International Business at Lingnan University. He received his PhD in economics from The University of Hong Kong and worked for a few years as a marketing executive in the retail industry and as Statistician in the civil service.

Ms Winnie Ng is an outstanding female entrepreneur in Hong Kong. She holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago, and a Master of Public Administration from Harvard University, where she was a Mason Fellow. Ms Ng is a Director of Transport International Holdings Limited and The Kowloon Motor Bus Company (1933) Limited. She is also an Independent Non-executive Director of Century City International Holdings Limited, Paliburg Holdings Limited and Regal Hotels International Holdings Limited.
Ms Ng has received much recognition and numerous awards, including the Outstanding Businesswomen Award in 2019, and was appointed Justice of the Peace in 2017. In previous years, she won a Nobel Laureate Series: Asian Chinese Leadership Award, named in a list of China’s Top Ten Outstanding Women Entrepreneurs, a Woman of Excellence, and won the Yazhou Zhoukan Young Chinese Entrepreneur Award. Ms Ng is known for her innovation and creativity. She pioneered and established the multimedia company RoadShow Holdings Limited in 2001, and was Deputy Chairman until 2017 when the company was acquired by a consortium for over HK$1 billion.
Ms Ng is also active in public service, as a Director of Po Leung Kuk, a Member of Women’s Commission, a Member of Town Planning Board, a Director of CUHK Medical Centre, a Director of HKBU Chinese Medicine Hospital, a Supervisor of Mr & Mrs Chan Pak Keung Tsing Yi School, an Advisor of Our Hong Kong Foundation, a Court Member of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and a Council Member of The Better Hong Kong Foundation. Professor Ben Young is Vice President (Student and Global Affairs) and Chair Professor of Steel Structures of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, overseeing the institutional policies and plans related to student development and promotion of culture, as well as the global engagement endeavours in educational initiatives involving the establishment of partnership with leading universities and strategic partners in overseas countries.
