I believe that language is humanity's greatest bridge, connecting minds, cultures, and possibilities across every boundary. This conviction drives my pioneering work in multilingual education, where I transform how students navigate and thrive in our interconnected world. As the first researcher to introduce Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) into English-medium nursing education in Hong Kong, I've witnessed firsthand how innovative language pedagogy can unlock professional dreams and reshape learning pathways.

Research

My research has directly impacted over 2,400 students across Hong Kong's educational landscape. With HK$9.06 million in competitive funding and publications in top-tier journals, I lead international and local collaborations in CLIL. Three Cambridge University Press monographs are forthcoming.

Innovation

I'm developing a patent-pending AI-supported Dialogue System that revolutionizes healthcare communication training, addressing pain points of Hong Kong's aging population and new healthcare landscapes. My work in translanguaging theory and Ecological Languaging Competencies renew language assessment paradigms.

Service

As Acting Head of EdUHK's Centre for Language in Education, I've doubled grant success rates while serving 9,000+ students. Our strategic vision strengthens EdUHK's global reputation and advances institutional excellence through research-informed practice.
