The "Public Lecture Series 2021" is organised by the Department of English Language Education to a wide audience of teachers and the general public whose interest spans both English language learning and the general topic of language. The following topics will be covered in this session:

• "Hi Ching: Do You Speak Chinglish Or Kongish?", by Mr Nick Wong, Lecturer, Center for Language Education, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology
• "Our Beliefs About The English Languages, And Why Do They Matter?", by Dr Katherine Chen, Associate Professor of Applied Linguistics and Director of the English Language Centre, University of Macau
